Switzerland-based aviation services provider Executive Sky Flight Support (ESFS) has partnered with local ground handler Smart Aviation to offer FBO services at Cairo International Airport. The location will be available 24/7. “Egypt is the 29th biggest country in the world,” said Rushdi Zakaria, CEO of Smart Aviation, which also provides ground handling at 10 other airports in Egypt, as well as aircraft charter and air ambulance services. “Egypt is one of the most crowded countries with private and business aircraft” in the region, he added.
Services at the Cairo facility include hotel accommodations, ground transportation, catering, aircraft towing and cleaning, lav and water service, baggage handling, departure and passport control and passenger check-in. “We are really proud to announce our strategic partnership with Smart Aviation to start our FBO service in a great country like Egypt,” noted ESFSCEO Caled Iccaoui. “We consider this partnership as a humble start [with] impressive announcements to follow later.”
